So... who's behind BeeRubby?

So... who's behind BeeRubby?

I didn't want to start this post with:

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth and my dream is to build the best brand in the world."

(Thank goodness we avoided that.)

So instead, let's start with ice cream.

Right now, I have a tub of Ben & Jerry's caramel ice cream next to me, and I'm seriously wondering if it's possible to become emotionally attached to a dessert.

(It is.)

Anyway, hi.

I'm Elizabeth, I'm 28 years old, and a few years ago I had the brilliant idea of asking myself:

"What if, instead of having a normal hobby, I started building my own brand?"

And that's how BeeRubby was born.

Well... more accurately, that's how BeeRubby started becoming a thing.

Because honestly? This isn't one of those stories about making a million dollars in six months and buying a villa with a swimming pool.

(A swimming pool would be nice, though.)

Three years ago, I started selling digital products on Etsy: wallpapers, Procreate brushes, and stamps. It began as a simple "Let's see what happens" experiment.

(The answer is: customers occasionally message at 2 AM.)

(And I occasionally answer at 2:03 AM.)

Besides that, I'm a programmer and designer, which means my daily life is mostly a mix of code, illustrations, thirty open browser tabs, and the sentence:

"I'll just sketch something quickly."

Three hours later...

I have seven new ideas, beads sitting in my shopping cart, and an entire YouTube watchlist waiting for me.

I love gaming, watching vlogs, swimming, drawing, and making jewelry from beads. At this point, I'm pretty sure my brain operates on a very simple system:

"That's cute. Let's turn it into a product."

And that's exactly what BeeRubby is.

A small brand inspired by things that make me happy.

A little kawaii.

A little nostalgic.

A little chaotic.

(A lot chaotic.)

The first BeeRubby products will include bear stickers, bear-themed pens, handmade beaded jewelry, and other tiny things designed to make someone's day a little brighter.

Because honestly, I think the world could always use more cute things.

People often ask what my big business goal is.

And surprisingly, it's not becoming a billionaire.

I don't dream about private jets.

(I do dream about having a really cute studio, though.)

My dream is much simpler.

I'd love to have a space that truly belongs to BeeRubby. A small studio filled with shelves of stickers, beads, packaging supplies, artwork, and maybe even a plant that I actually remember to water.

(That last part might be the biggest challenge.)

And one day, I'd love to hire my very first employee.

That's probably my biggest milestone.

The moment when I can look around and think:

"Wow. I actually built something real."

I don't need millions.

I don't need to become the biggest brand on the internet.

I just want to create something that's mine.

Something that makes people smile, even if it's just a tiny bear sticker sitting on their laptop.

So if you've made it this far, welcome to BeeRubby.

There will be cute products, a bit of chaos, behind-the-scenes stories, probably a few business struggles, and definitely more ice cream references in future posts.

(Quite a lot more ice cream references.)

Thanks for being here.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I have some Ben & Jerry's waiting for me.

(For now.)
